Long-Range Artillery

The long range artillery were the largest of the weapons used on land. Often referred to as rail guns because they were typically transported by rail lines. Due to this fact, they were only able to go where the railroads had been. Fortunately due to their long range capabilities, they often hit their target which was normally miles away dead on. The most well known of these is the German Howitzer known as “Big Bertha.”
